If you didn't delete any remnants files it will ask you to make the file name with 'new' in it. Right click each asset folder and select "Add existing." Navigate to your old project file and you will find that all the assets are still there, but you have to reload them all. In game maker on the left side where the assets list is (Sprites, Fonts, Objects.) First delete ALL reamaining assets, they're corrupted and likely missing events.ĥ. Close game maker, and reboot everything just as a good habit. Save as a new project in a new folder, and DO NOT DELETE ANY FILES of the old project.ģ. **EDIT** Or just skip all of these steps and check out my second comment below.Ģ. If this happens to you, here is what I did to fix it. The last time I backed up was a long time also. Each time I loaded the project more assets were gone. Most of my thousands of assets were gone. I forgot I wasn't signed into my normal account and went to load up GM. If you sign into another steam account and try to load game maker, your project may become corrupted.
